Placements24 seeks a Commercial Legal Advisor to join its dynamic legal team in Queenstown, SA. The role supports business units with legal counsel on contracts, negotiation, and regulatory compliance within a hybrid work model.

The ideal candidate is an SA-registered attorney with at least 6 years PQE in commercial law, able to draft, negotiate and advise on corporate matters while liaising with external counsel and regulators.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with a minimum of 6 years post-qualification experience.
• Substantial experience in commercial law, contract drafting, and negotiation.
• Strong understanding of South African company law, contract law, and relevant commercial legislation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a hybrid model.
• Experience in dispute resolution is a plus.
• Client-focused with a proactive and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for providing expert legal counsel on a wide range of commercial matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, advising on business transactions, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
