LexisNexis is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel – Pacific to join the team and provide practical, commercially focused advice across Australia and New Zealand. The role covers a broad range of commercial matters, including customer and content licensing, technology agreements and AI-enabled initiatives.

You will work closely with stakeholders, draft and negotiate contracts, and leverage AI tools to improve efficiency while maintaining sound risk management.

Formación

• 5+ years’ PQE and admission to practice in Australia or New Zealand, with a current practising certificate or eligibility.
• Strong commercial contracting experience, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements.
• Experience in a top-tier law firm or large corporate/in-house legal team.
• Practical experience using generative AI tools in legal work to improve workflows.

Responsabilidades

• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements (B2B, content licences, supplier and technology).
• Negotiate directly with customers, suppliers and other counterparties.
• Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice balancing risk with business aims.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand.
• Support AI-enabled product initiatives and legal-tech projects.
