Job summary

New Zealand Steel Limited is seeking a commercially astute, analytically driven Head of Commercial Analytics to join our NZPI Strategic Projects team. You will partner with the CEO, CFO and SLT to turn complex financial and operational data into insights that shape major business decisions and drive long-term value.

You will develop financial models, business cases and investment assessments, identify risks and opportunities, and translate data into actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in commercial, strategy, finance, analytics, consulting or operational roles.
• Strong financial modelling, business case development and commercial analysis skills.
• Experience in manufacturing, heavy industry, infrastructure, resources or a similarly complex environment.
• Experience evaluating major capital investments, both value and risk.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to evaluate strategic opportunities and support key business decisions.
• Develop financial models, business cases and investment assessments.
