Job summary

Lone Star New Zealand in Queenstown is seeking a full-time kitchen hand to support a busy team, with opportunities to upskill to the cold section (salads and desserts). You will assist the chefs with basic prep, wash crockery, and help maintain a clean, safe kitchen at all times.

Evenings and weekend evenings are required; start time around 4 PM, with mornings free. Candidates must have the legal right to work in New Zealand and be able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment,

Qualifications

• Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is advantageous.
• Must be able to work autonomously and maintain high standards.
• Availability to work evenings and weekend evenings is required.

Responsibilities

• Washing and putting away crockery.
• Assisting the chefs in basic prep and service.
• Standard opening and closing procedures.
• Maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen at all times.
• Dinner provided every shift; mornings free with a start around 4 PM.
• Opportunity to upskill to the cold section – salads and desserts.
