Queenstown & Glenorchy | Full-Time Fixed-Term | Dart River Adventures | Ngāi Tahu Tourism Spend Your Days Driving One of the Most Beautiful Roads on Earth

Forget traffic jams, industrial areas, and staring at the same stretch of road every day.

Imagine starting your morning with alpine vistas, winding alongside crystal-clear rivers, beneath snow-capped mountains, and through landscapes that have featured in some of the world's most iconic films.

At Dart River Adventures, we're looking for an exceptional Coach Driver to join our team in Queenstown and Glenorchy. This is not your average driving role. It's an opportunity to become part of our guests' New Zealand adventure and share an environment that leaves people speechless every single day.

If you love people, the outdoors, and take pride in delivering unforgettable experiences, this could be the best job you'll ever have.

Why You'll Love This Role

Every day is different

One day you're welcoming visitors from Europe, the next you're hosting families from North America or travellers ticking New Zealand off their bucket list.

The scenery never gets old

Drive the world-famous Queenstown to Glenorchy road, widely regarded as one of New Zealand's most spectacular journeys.

You're more than a driver

You'll be a storyteller, local expert, host, and ambassador for this incredible region.

Work where others holiday

Swap office walls and city traffic for mountains, forests, rivers, and fresh alpine air.

Join the Ngāi Tahu Tourism whānau

Become part of one of New Zealand's leading tourism organisations, with opportunities to grow your career across our wider business.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Driving our custom-built 44-seat 4WD coaches between Queenstown, Glenorchy and Paradise
  • Delivering engaging commentary and bringing the region's stories to life
  • Sharing the unique history, landscapes, ecology and wildlife of the area
  • Guiding guests through our exclusive Beech Forest experience
  • Creating memorable moments and world-class customer experiences
  • Ensuring every journey is safe, professional and enjoyable

This is a role where your personality can shine and where the connections you make with guests are just as important as getting them from A to B.

What's In It For You?
  • Competitive pay

  • Full training and ongoing development
  • Qualification support for the right applicant
  • Career pathways across Ngāi Tahu Tourism
