Pacific Stone Ltd in Tauranga seeks an experienced CNC Stone Saw Operator to program and operate bridge saws and machining centres for granite, quartz, and natural stone projects.

You will load slabs, interpret CAD/CAM files, monitor the cut process, and ensure high-quality finishes while maintaining safety and cleanliness. Some flexibility for late shifts or weekends may be required.

This role offers hours around 40-50 per week with a competitive hourly rate of NZD 35–45.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC stone machinery or bridge saws is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret CAD/CAM files.
• Strong measurement and tolerance skills.
• Commitment to quality and safety in a workshop environment.
• Willingness to occasionally work late nights or weekends.

Responsabilités

• Machine Setup / Operation
• Loading stone slabs onto the CNC machine.
• Programming and Design Interpretation - loading CAD/CAM design files to direct the machine's movements.
• Fabrication Control - monitoring the sawing and cutting process for accuracy.
• Quality and Safety Control - inspecting finished pieces and maintaining a safe workspace.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of machines, including blades and components.
