Job summary

Rocket Lab in Auckland is seeking a skilled CNC Operator to produce highly precise components for space hardware in a clean, controlled manufacturing environment with advanced CNC equipment. Your role ensures quality and on-time delivery of critical parts.

Shifts include Day & Night options. Week 1: four days on, three off, 1pm–1am; Week 2: three days on, four off, 1pm–1am. You will set up fixtures, verify programs, inspect parts, and support R&D tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience operating Fanuc and/or Siemens CNC controls.
• Proven experience as a CNC Operator.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• All aspects of machine setting including fixture set up and alignment, setting work coordinate systems, tool setting, loading and measurement
• Proving safety and accuracy of programs through simulation, dry runs and checking code prior to running
• In process part inspection and measurement
• Support Research and Development tasks as required
