About the Role

Rwin Limited T/A Rwin Roofing Maintenance and Washing Service is seeking two experienced Roof Tilers to join our roofing team in Papakura, Auckland. The role involves working on residential roofing projects, including new builds, re-roofing, and repair work. The successful candidate will assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of tiled and metal roofing systems while maintaining high workmanship and safety standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Review plans, specifications, and site conditions to determine the materials and methods required for roofing work.

Set up ladders, scaffolding, and other access equipment to safely carry out roofing tasks.

Remove existing roofing materials when carrying out re-roofing work and assist with disposal and site clean‑up.

Prepare roof structures and carry out minor repairs where required before installation begins.

Install insulation, roofing paper, and other protective layers as part of roof preparation.

Fix roofing underlay securely to the roof frame using nails or staples to create a weatherproof base.

Position and align roofing materials from the edge of the roof upward, ensuring correct overlap and secure fixing.

Cut, shape, and install roofing materials to fit around roof features such as vents, chimneys, corners, and ridges.

Install and secure flashing, gutters, ridges, and other roofing components to ensure proper drainage and weather protection.

Place and secure waterproof sheets around eaves and roof edges to prevent water penetration.

Fix ridge and edge tiles and ensure roofing materials are properly sealed and aligned.

Seal exposed fixing points and flash nail heads where necessary to prevent water leaks.

Carry out general roofing repairs and maintenance such as re‑nailing, re‑pointing, and replacing damaged roofing components.

Assist with cleaning roof surfaces where required, including water blasting prior to repair or coating work.

Operate spray equipment where necessary to apply protective coatings or finishes.

Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment at all times.

Skills and Experience Required

At least 2 years or more of relevant experience in roofing or construction, or a qualification at level 4 or higher.

Ability to work at heights and safely use roofing tools and equipment.

This role requires flexibility to work shifts across all days of the week, including weekends.

Physically fit, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Roof Tiler to join our team on a full‑time, permanent basis. The successful applicant will carry out roofing installation, repair, maintenance and replacement work on residential and/or commercial properties. The role requires practical roofing skills, attention to detail, a strong commitment to workplace health and safety, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely handle, carry and transport roofing materials and equipment.
  • Work cooperatively with other roofers, builders and construction workers.
  • Perform other reasonable roofing‑related duties within the scope of the position.

Applicants should have:

  • At least 2 years of relevant roofing, roof tiling or closely related construction experience, or a relevant Level 4 or higher qualification.

Preferred Background

The following would be advantageous but are not essential:

  • Previous experience as a Roof Tiler or Roofer.
  • Experience with different types of roof tiles and roofing materials.
  • Relevant roofing, building or construction training or qualification.

What’s on offer?

This role offers FTE equivalent remuneration of $33 - $38 per hour for a minimum of 30 hours per week. The position is in Auckland and does NOT offer work from home.

HJ Plaster & Painting Limited is seeking competent wall & floor tiler and contract administrator to work with us in Auckland.

Generally you are required to work at least 30 hours per week, and should have minimum 2-year relevant work experience, or hold recognized NZQF qualification

For contract administrator, your hourly wage rates will range from Minimum $33 to maximum of $45 dependingon your skill and/or relevant work experience

Job task include:

  • Prepare, review and administer contracts and related documentation.
  • Review and negotiate contract variations, claims and changes to project scope.
  • Monitor contractual obligations, milestones and compliance requirements.
  • Review variation claims, payment claims and extension‑of‑time requests.
  • Liaise with project managers, clients, contractors, subcontractors, architects and engineering professionals.
  • Resolve contract‑related enquiries and issues.
  • Maintain accurate contract, variation and project records.
  • Monitor contractors' work and report on contractual variations and project outcomes.
  • Prepare reports, submissions and recommendations for management.
  • Identify contractual risks and provide advice to management.

For Wall & Floor tiler, your hourly wage rates will range from Minimum $29 to maximum of $41 depending on your skill and/or relevant work experience

Job Tasks include:

  • discuss tiling design options with clients and give quotes
  • calculate costs and quantities of tiling materials
  • cut tiles, stone and other materials
  • measure and mark wall and floor tiling areas
  • apply waterproofing materials to showers and bathrooms
  • use sticking materials on walls and floors
  • seal and polish tiles
  • fill gaps between tiles
