Job summary

Stellar Recruitment is assisting a busy, well-established engineering workshop in Lower Hutt to find a skilled CNC Operator who can also program. This hands-on role runs modern CNC machinery, producing high-quality components for a fast-moving production environment.

You will operate CNC mills/routers safely, program using Fusion 360 or similar, perform quality checks and supporting production tasks while keeping the workspace clean and safe.

Qualifications

• Experience as a CNC Operator with programming ability.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Safety-focused with a hands-on, busy workshop mindset.

Responsibilities

• CNC operation: run CNC mills/routers safely and efficiently.
• CNC programming: create, edit, and optimise programs (Fusion 360 / similar).
• Quality checks: measure parts, check tolerances, follow job sheets.
• Workshop support: assist with production tasks and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
