Job summary

NZ Panels Group, home of Dezignatek, is seeking an experienced Edgebander/Drilling/CNC Operator for the afternoon shift in a high-volume manufacturing environment. You will run edgebanders, drilling and CNC operations, read job sheets, perform quality checks and keep the workspace safe and tidy.

This role offers a 4-day week with a 4:00pm–2:00am shift, with rostering flexibility as the business grows. A cabinet making background is preferred, and you must have the right to work in New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Cabinet making background or trade qualification or solid industry experience.
• Experience with CNC, edgebanding and/or drilling machinery is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Running edgebanders and drilling equipment, including setup and changeovers.
• Operating CNC machinery to cut and machine panels accurately to specification.
• Reading job sheets and cutting lists and checking work against them.
• Carrying out quality checks so every component meets Dezignatek standards.
• Keeping machines and your work area clean and maintained, and following health and safety procedures.
• Working with the team to hit production targets.

About us

NZ Panels Group manufactures Dezignatek, New Zealand's premium range of thermoformed doors and panels. Our products are used in kitchens, bathrooms and joinery projects across the country, and we're known for quality, consistency and fast turnaround. With demand growing, we're looking for a skilled operator to join our production team.

The role

You'll run edgebanding, drilling and CNC operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Your work will directly affect the quality of every door that leaves our factory. Day to day, you'll be:

• Running edgebanders and drilling equipment, including setup and changeovers
• Operating CNC machinery to cut and machine panels accurately to specification
• Reading job sheets and cutting lists and checking work against them
• Carrying out quality checks so every component meets Dezignatek standards
• Keeping machines and your work area clean and maintained, and following health and safety procedures
• Working with the team to hit production targets

The shift

• 4 days x 10 hours - enjoy a 3-day weekend every week.
• Afternoon shift, 4:00pm – 2:00am
• As the business grows, rosters may change. We're looking for people who are open to working different shift patterns when needed.

About you

• A cabinet making background, through a trade qualification or solid industry experience
• Experience with CNC, edgebanding and/or drilling machinery is a strong advantage
• A sharp eye for detail and pride in quality work
• Comfortable with the pace and consistency of a high-volume production environment
• Reliable and punctual, and able to work well on your own or as part of a team
• Flexible about working hours and shift rosters
• Must have the right to work in New Zealand
