Job summary

Jora New Zealand is hiring CNC Lathe and Machining Centre Setters for 3, 4 and 5 axis machines in Auckland. You will be responsible for configuring setups, selecting tooling, and implementing cutting strategies to maximise efficiency. A strong team environment and excellent time management are essential.

Roles offer a four-day week option, competitive remuneration between $40-45/hr, and 40 hours per week with extra hours during busy periods. NZ citizenship or valid NZ work visa is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in CNC Lathe or Machining Centre setting.
• Proficient with Fanuc controllers and tooling selection.
• Able to develop cutting strategies and work holding methods.
• Good English communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Set CNC Lathe and Machining Centre for 3, 4 & 5 axis machines.
• Select tooling and develop cutting strategies for efficient machining.
• Work with tight time frames and meet deadlines while maintaining quality.

We're looking for people with 3+ years' experience in CNC Lathe / Machining Centre setting who have a keen interest in building a long-term career.

You will need to be proficient with Fanuc controllers, tooling selection, cutting strategies and work holding methods for efficient machining on the latest CNC machines.

You'll also need to have:

• Confident problem solving skills
