Qualifications

  • 5+ years acute medical or surgical experience.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Health Assessment or progress toward.
  • Ability to build positive relationships across the acute clinical setting.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organised and self-motivated to lead in a busy after-hours role.
  • Senior Registered Nurse with current NZ Nursing Council APC.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and ensure optimum patient care by allocating medical and clinical resources after hours.
  • Provide senior nursing leadership during after-hours, weekends and public holidays.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

About the Role

We are looking for a Clinical Team Coordinator (CTC) to jointhe After-hours Nursing Team at Christchurch Health Campus.

As the Clinical Team Coordinator, you will be responsiblefor assessing and ensuring optimum patient care, through appropriate allocationof medical and clinical resources across the hospital afterhours, weekends andpublic holidays.

The role provides senior nursing leadership in theafterhours and works closely with team members from a wide range of clinicaldisciplines to create a supported, productive and patient-centred team whichdelivers high quality patient care.

About the Service

The Clinical Team Coordinators coordinate the afterhoursteam resources to enable the Right Person, Right Patient, Right Time approachto patient care.

About You
  • At least 5 years acutemedical or surgical experience (broad based experience with significanttime in an acute care setting)
  • Has or working towardsPost graduate qualification in Health Assessment
  • Ability to buildpositive relationships across the acute clinical setting with a variety ofhealth professionals
  • Excellent communicationand problem-solving skills as the key point of liaison after hours
  • Highly organised andmotivated by the busy and challenging nature of this role.
  • A senior RegisteredNurse, who thrives on autonomy and has the skills to lead.
  • Registered with theNursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual PractisingCertificate (APC)
