About the Role

Our client, a leading pharmaceutical research organization, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Project Manager to oversee vital clinical trials from their Queenstown, Eastern Cape hub. This critical role involves managing all operational aspects of clinical studies, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and project timelines. The successful candidate will be instrumental in bringing life-changing therapies to market by expertly managing research sites, study teams, and data integrity. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the planning, execution, and monitoring of clinical trials in accordance with GCP, ICH guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Select, train, and oversee clinical trial sites and investigators.
• Develop and manage study budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely financial reporting.
• Create and manage project timelines, ensuring milestones are met.
• Ensure the quality and integrity of clinical trial data collected.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, including CROs and central labs.
• Oversee the recruitment and retention of trial participants.
• Prepare and present regular progress reports to internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact trial conduct or timelines.
• Ensure compliance with all ethical and regulatory standards throughout the trial lifecycle.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a life science, nursing, pharmacy, or a related field.
• Advanced degree (Masters, PhD) is a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical research, with at least 3 years in clinical project management.
• In-depth knowledge of GCP, ICH guidelines, and regulatory requirements for clinical trials.
• Proven experience in managing clinical trial operations, including site management and monitoring.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with clinical trial management systems (CTMS) and electronic data capture (EDC) systems.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of other relevant languages is beneficial.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Queenstown, Eastern Cape , with a hybrid work arrangement.
