Job summary

Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland invites an experienced pharmacist to join as Clinical Tutor, contributing to the undergraduate pharmacy programme at the University of Auckland. The role blends clinical practice with teaching, supporting students and staff within the Education, Training and Research Practice team.

You will teach the BPharm course, supervise experiential placements, and develop rotation content using competency frameworks.

Qualifications

• BPharm or recognised pharmacy qualification.
• Registration or eligibility to register with NZ Pharmacy Council.
• At least 3 years hospital pharmacy experience.
• Proactive and adaptable with a passion to teach and develop others.
• Evidence of clinical pharmacy practice: clinical reasoning, medicines management, interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Commitment to equity, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and culturally safe practice.

Responsibilities

• Teach into the BPharm course at the University of Auckland School of Pharmacy.
• Support experiential learning placements within Te Tokai Tumai Auckland.
• Facilitate workplace-based learning for clinical pharmacy staff including Rotational Pharmacist Programme development.
• Promote a learning culture within the clinical team.
• Provide a high level, comprehensive clinical pharmacy service to a specified group of patients.
