Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand is recruiting multiple Clinical Engineering Technicians for hospital operations across New Zealand. These temporary, full-time roles support commissioning and day-to-day clinical engineering tasks in multiple sites.
Ideal candidates have an engineering background, strong troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to safety and quality, with start mid to late January 2027 and duration of 1–3 months.
We are recruiting multiple Clinical Engineering Technicians to support a large healthcare organisation with hospital operations across New Zealand. These temporary, full‑time roles offer an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience, apply your technical skills, and contribute to the delivery of essential healthcare services.
A major project is planned across multiple hospital sites, involving the commissioning of new healthcare equipment and assets. To support this programme, permanent clinical engineering teams will be focused on commissioning activities, creating opportunities for temporary technicians to provide additional support with day‑to‑day clinical engineering operations.
You will work alongside established clinical engineering teams, helping ensure healthcare equipment and assets are maintained, supported, and operating effectively.
These opportunities would suit both recent Engineering graduates looking to develop their practical skills and experienced technicians who can confidently contribute from day one.
We are interested in hearing from candidates with a background in engineering, biomedical engineering, electronics, electrical engineering, or a related technical discipline.
EWRB registration or certification will be an advantage for relevant positions but is not essential for all roles.
