Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora Waitaha Canterbury is seeking a Clinical Engineering Technician to maintain, repair, calibrate and test medical equipment at Christchurch Health Campus. You will install and commission new health technology, support verification and calibration, and provide guidance to clinical and non-clinical staff.

The role is a permanent full-time position (80 hours per fortnight, 1.0 FTE), Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• NZQA level 7 engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Registered as an Electrical Appliance Serviceperson with the Electrical Workers Registration Board.
• Experience repairing and maintaining medical devices.
• Experience repairing and maintaining dental equipment is desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure.

Responsabilités

• Install and commission new health technology (medical equipment/systems).
• Support, verify, calibrate, repair and maintain health technology throughout its life cycle.
• Apply mathematical, science and engineering knowledge to advise on processes and systems.
• Guide and advise clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Maintain quality and safety through performance testing, documentation and record keeping.
