Clinical Coordinator - Neurodevelopmental Pathway (Leadership Role)

Position: Full Time | Permanent

About the Role

As Clinical Coordinator, you will provide leadership and clinical oversight to a multidisciplinary team completing neurodevelopmental assessments. You will also undertake some clinical duties. Your key tasks include ensuring high‑quality, timely, and culturally responsive assessment pathways for tamariki, rangatahi, and their whānau.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer clinical guidance and consultation to clinicians completing neurodevelopmental assessments
• Support reflective thinking and formulation, particularly in complex presentations
• Ensure assessment processes are smooth, coordinated, and aligned to evidence‑based practice
• Foster a positive, collaborative team environment
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives
• Work closely with the Clinical Team Leader, Lead Clinician, and wider leadership team to support service‑wide clinical governance and operational delivery for the Kari Centre
• Provide cross‑cover for clinical coordinators in other parts of the service when required

About the Team / Service / Location

The Kari Centre is a dedicated Neurodevelopmental Team responsible for assessments of neurodevelopmental conditions, specifically ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder, for children and young people across central Auckland. This role combines clinical expertise, team support, and service development.

About You

• NZ‑registered with a current APC (Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing, or Child Psychotherapy)
• Hold a full, clean NZ driver licence
• Have clinical experience in neurodevelopmental assessment (ADHD and ASD)
• Are passionate about supporting tamariki, rangatahi, and their whānau
• Communicate clearly and work effectively within multidisciplinary settings
• Are motivated to develop leadership skills within a supportive service
• Experience in iCAMHS or the CAPA model is desirable but not essential
