Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Nelson is seeking a Clinical Administration Secretarial Support to join our Clinical Support Services. You will provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support to consultants and clinical teams, coordinating appointments and managing patient records to support the journey from referral through treatment and follow-up.
This permanent, full-time role (1.0 FTE, 80 hours per fortnight) operates Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM.

About the Role
As Clinical Secretarial Support, you will provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support to consultants and clinical teams. You will be responsible for managing clinical correspondence, coordinating appointments, maintaining accurate patient records, and supporting the patient journey from referral through to treatment and follow-up care.
This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
This is a permanent, full-time position working 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE), Monday to Friday, 7.30AM to 4.00PM.

About You
Previous secretarial, administration, or healthcare experience and knowledge of medical terminology would be advantageous but are not essential.
A typing speed of 50 words per minute or more is essential. Audio transcription experience and medical terminology would be advantageous but not essential. Our preferred applicants will be required to undertake a computer skills assessment.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ work visa at the time of applying.
