Job summary

Bupa Riverstone Care Home in Palmerston North is seeking a hands-on Caregiver to support residents with mobility and daily activities. You will document care and help residents engage in social activities, contributing to a warm, welcoming environment.

Join a multidisciplinary team with a strong focus on safety, medication practices, and compassionate care for the elderly. A Level 0-4 caregiving qualification and NZ work entitlement are required, with a rotating 6-week roster and fixed shifts.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 0-4 Caregiving qualification with current medication competency.
• Proven experience in aged care or a comparable healthcare environment.
• Genuine passion for supporting the elderly.
• Confident communication and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
• Computer literacy across MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Hold legal entitlement to work in New Zealand.

Hours & Roster Details:

• Employment Type:Permanent Full Time
• Hours: Average 32 Hours Per Week
• Shift Time: 2x 7:00am-3:00pm and 2x 3:00pm-11:00pm
• Roster Pattern: 4 days on, 2 days off (6-weekly rotating roster across Monday - Sunday)

Bupa Riverstone Care Home is a modern, purpose-built aged care home located in Kelvin Grove, Palmerston North.The care home provides rest home, hospital, and dementia care.

As a Caregiver, you’ll work alongside a supportive team to:

• Assist with mobility in line with individual care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely care documentation
• Encourage residents to engage in social activities and community life
• Help create a warm, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and your teammates

What you’ll needto make it possible

• Hold a Level 0-4 Caregiving qualification, with current medication competency (if Level 4) and a strong understanding of safe medication practices
