Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Greymouth, New Zealand, is seeking a part-time Vehicle Service Agent to keep our fleet in optimal condition. You will clean, inspect, refuel, and log vehicle data to support smooth operations across our seven-day schedule.

No prior experience is required as full training is provided. A valid class 1 licence is essential, and weekend availability is needed for this role. We offer $25.43 per hour, uniform and parking, wellbeing benefits, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare interior and exterior of vehicles by cleaning, washing, and vacuuming returned vehicles.
• Assess vehicle for potential new damages and report as per damage procedure.
• Review gas levels and odometer readings and input into handheld devices.
• Refuel gas tanks, check fluid levels, tyre conditions, pressure and tread depth.

We operate 7 days a week, Monday to Sunday from 0800 - 1900 each day for this position we are looking for someone who can work during our operational hours including at lease one day per weekend.

About the Role

As what we call a Vehicle Service Agent you will be a key component to our operations, you will be responsible for checking and preparing our vehicles to ensure they are in the best condition possible for our customers.

• Preparing the interior and exterior of our vehicles by cleaning, washing, and vacuuming all returned vehicles
• Assessing vehicle for any potential new damages and report it as per our vehicle damage procedure
• Reviewing returned vehicle gas levels and car kilometres and accurately inputting them into our hand-held devices as required
• Refuelling gas tanks, checking fluid levels and tyre conditions along with pressure and tread depth

What we are looking for :

• Full , clean, valid class 1 driver's licence is essential for this role
• Previous experience in a hands-on or physical labouring role
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in all weather conditions delivering a high standard of work
• Ability to follow procedures and adhere to company guidelines and standards
