Avis Budget Group is hiring a Vehicle Service Agent at Christchurch Airport. This entry-level, part-time role (30 hours per week) is based in Canterbury, New Zealand, with training provided and a supportive team culture.

You will prepare vehicles, check for damages, and record vehicle data on hand-held devices. Key duties include interior and exterior cleaning, refuelling and tyre checks, and reporting any issues.

Qualifications

• Full, clean, valid Class 1 driver’s licence required.
• Experience in hands-on or physical labour role.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in all weather conditions.
• Able to follow procedures and company guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Preparing the interior and exterior of vehicles by cleaning, washing, and vacuuming returned vehicles.
• Assessing vehicle for potential damages and reporting per damage procedure.
• Reviewing gas levels and odometer readings and inputting into hand-held devices.
• Refuelling gas tanks, checking fluids and tyre conditions including pressure and tread depth.

About the Role

As what we call a Vehicle Service Agent you will be a key component to our operations, you will be responsible for checking and preparing our vehicles to ensure they are in the best condition possible for our customers.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing the interior and exterior of our vehicles by cleaning, washing, and vacuuming all returned vehicles
• Assessing vehicle for any potential new damages and report it as per our vehicle damage procedure.
• Reviewing returned vehicle gas levels and car kilometres and accurately inputting them into our hand-held devices as required
• Refuelling gas tanks, checking fluid levels and tyre conditions along with pressure and tread depth.

What we are looking for:

• Full, clean, valid class 1 driver’s licence is essential for this role.
• Previous experience in a hands-on or physical labouring role
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in all weather conditions delivering a high standard of work.
• Ability to follow procedures and adhere to company guidelines and standards.

As we operate 7 days a week from 0600 - 2300, we are looking to fill a position working 30-hours per week during our operating hours which means you could be scheduled to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
