Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring a Vehicle Service Agent at Auckland Airport for a full-time fixed-term role through March 2026. You will help prepare and inspect vehicles, perform cleaning, refuelling, and basic maintenance to ensure peak condition for customers.

The position offers training, a 40-hour week, and parking on-site. A valid class 1 driver’s licence is essential, with a supportive team culture and potential internal movement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare interior and exterior of vehicles by cleaning, washing, and vacuuming returned vehicles.

• Record gas levels, kilometres, and other vehicle data on handheld devices.
• Refuel, check fluids and tyre conditions and ensure vehicles are ready for customers.

We are gearing up for our peak season and have a full-time, fixed-term position available until the end of March 2026.

If you have keen eye to detail and are not scared of some hard work, then you could be essential to our operations in keeping our amazing fleet of vehicles looking like new! Come and join our friendly team as what we call a Vehicle Service Agent.

About the Role

As a key component to our operations, you will be responsible for checking and preparing our vehicles to ensure they are in the best condition possible for our customers.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing the interior and exterior of our vehicles by cleaning, washing, and vacuuming all returned vehicles
• Assessing vehicle for any potential new damages and report it as per our vehicle damage procedure.
• Reviewing returned vehicle gas levels and car kilometres and accurately inputting them into our hand-held devices as required
• Refuelling gas tanks, checking fluid levels and tyre conditions along with pressure and tread depth.

What we are looking for:

• Full, clean, valid class 1 driver’s licence is essential for this role.
• Previous experience in a hands-on or physical labouring role
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in all weather conditions delivering a high standard of work.
• Ability to follow procedures and adhere to company guidelines and standards.

As we operate 7 days a week, you will be required to work 40 hours per week as per our rotating roster which could see you working early mornings from 06.15, afternoons, nights until 19:30 and will include weekends and public holiday work as required.
