Job summary

Avis Budget Group, based at Nelson Airport, is seeking an entry-level Vehicle Prep role. This permanent full-time position offers 40 hours per week on 5 x 8 hour shifts, with a Wednesday to Sunday roster.

You’ll learn on the job and contribute to keeping our fleet in top condition. We provide full training, uniform and parking, a wellbeing program including life insurance and health cover, and staff discounts across Avis Budget Group and partners.

Qualifications

• Full, clean, valid class 1 driver's licence is essential.
• Previous experience in a hands-on or physical labouring role.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in all weather conditions.
• Ability to follow procedures and adhere to company guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the interior and exterior of vehicles by cleaning, washing, and vacuuming all returned vehicles.
• Assess vehicles for potential new damages and report it as per our vehicle damage procedure.
• Review returned vehicle gas levels and car kilometres and accurately inputting them into our hand-held devices as required.
• Refuelling gas tanks, checking fluid levels and tyre conditions along with pressure and tread depth.

We have a fantastic team who keeps our fleet looking like new which is essential to our operations. We currently have full-time position working 40--hours per week available so if you aren't afraid of hard work and have a keen eye to detail then this could be for you!

About the Role

Key responsibilities will include:

What we are looking for :

We operate 7 days a week from 7.30 am to 8.30 pm. In this full-time role we will schedule you to work 40-hours per week on 5 x 8 hour shifts.

For this position we are looking for someone who can work Wednesday to Sunday each week.
