Job summary

Avis Budget Group at Nelson Airport is seeking a Vehicle Service Agent to check and prepare vehicles to the highest standard. You will clean interiors and exteriors, report damages, record fuel levels and kilometres, refuel, and inspect tyres to ensure safety and quality.

The role is full-time, 40 hours per week across five 8-hour shifts, with Wednesday to Sunday roaster. Training, uniform and parking, plus wellbeing and employee discounts are provided.

Qualifications

• Full, clean, valid class 1 driver's licence is essential.
• Previous experience in a hands-on or physical labouring role.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in all weather conditions delivering a high standard of work.
• Ability to follow procedures and adhere to company guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities

• Preparing the interior and exterior of vehicles by cleaning, washing, and vacuuming returned vehicles.
• Assessing vehicles for any potential new damages and report it as per the vehicle damage procedure.
• Reviewing returned vehicle gas levels and kilometres and inputting them into handheld devices.
• Refuelling gas tanks, checking fluid levels and tyre conditions along with pressure and tread depth.

We have a fantastic team who keeps our fleet looking like new which is essential to our operations. We currently have full-time position working 40--hours per week available so if you aren't afraid of hard work and have a keen eye to detail then this could be for you!

About the Role

As a Vehicle Service Agent, you will be a key component to our operations and will be responsible for checking and preparing our vehicles to ensure they are in the best condition possible for our customers.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing the interior and exterior of our vehicles by cleaning, washing, and vacuuming all returned vehicles
• Assessing vehicle for any potential new damages and report it as per our vehicle damage procedure.
• Reviewing returned vehicle gas levels and car kilometres and accurately inputting them into our hand-held devices as required
• Refuelling gas tanks, checking fluid levels and tyre conditions along with pressure and tread depth

What we are looking for:

We operate 7 days a week from 7.30 am to 8.30 pm. In this full-time role we will schedule you to work 40-hours per week on 5 x 8 hour shifts.

For this position we are looking for someone who can work Wednesday to Sunday each week.
