Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Rotorua, New Zealand, is seeking a reliable Vehicle Service Agent for casual, as-needed hours. You will prepare vehicles for customers, detailing interiors/exteriors, and perform routine checks to ensure quality and safety.

Training is provided, and you’ll work in a supportive team environment across 7 days. A valid Class 1 driver’s license and willingness to work in all weather are essential. Weekend and public holiday shifts may be required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing the interior and exterior of vehicles by cleaning, washing, and vacuuming returned vehicles.
• Assessing vehicle for potential new damages and reporting per vehicle damage procedure.
• Reviewing fuel levels and odometer readings and entering them into hand-held devices.
• Refuelling, checking fluids and tyre conditions including pressure and tread depth.

About the Role

As what we call a Vehicle Service Agent, you will be a key component to our operations and will be responsible for checking and preparing our vehicles to ensure they are in the best condition possible for our customers.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing the interior and exterior of our vehicles by cleaning, washing, and vacuuming all returned vehicles
• Assessing vehicle for any potential new damages and report it as per our vehicle damage procedure.
• Reviewing returned vehicle fuel levels and car kilometres and accurately inputting them into our hand-held devices as required
• Refuelling tanks, checking fluid levels and tyre conditions along with pressure and tread depth.

What we are looking for:

• Full, clean, valid class 1 driver's licence is essential for this role.
• Previous experience in a hands-on or physical labouring role
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in all weather conditions delivering a high standard of work.
• Ability to follow procedures and adhere to company guidelines and standards.

As we operate 7 days a week, 8 am to 8:30 pm in this casual role, you could be called in at any time to assist during these hours and may include weekends and public holidays.
