Rimo Jobs is seeking a reliable school cleaner to join the site team and maintain a clean, hygienic environment for students and staff. Training will be provided; experience is useful but not essential, with duties including vacuuming, polishing, bin emptying and toilet cleaning.

Shifts are 15:15–18:30, Monday to Friday (16.25 hours/week). The role requires initiative, ability to work in a school setting and to work as part of a team under the Cleaning Manager.

Responsibilities

• Vacuuming, polishing, emptying bins and toilet cleaning.
• Use cleaning machines and cleaning products; training provided.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across classrooms and facilities.
• Replenish hand towels, soap and toilet paper as required.
• Report premises or equipment defects to a senior caretaker.
• Assist with deep cleaning during school holidays, including window washing and moving furniture.

About The Role

We are recruiting a school cleaner to join our professional site team. We are looking for a reliable and conscientious colleague, who will take pride in the appearance of the school and provide a clean and tidy environment for our students, staff and lettings.

Experience in school cleaning is useful but not essential and using cleaning machines and cleaning products would be an advantage, although training will be provided for the successful applicant. Common sense and the ability to be self-motivated is essential. You will need to work as part of a team under the direction of the Cleaning Manager.

Working hours are 15:15 -18:30, Monday to Friday, total 16.25 hours per week.

Working as part of our dedicated team, duties will include vacuuming, polishing, emptying bins, toilet cleaning etc. You must be able to use your own initiative and be motivated to work in an educational setting with children. Experience is desirable but full training will be given.

Specific Duties

• To undertake as required appropriate training in the use of equipment and chemicals used.
• Provide a comprehensive cleaning service to include dusting, vacuuming, washing floors, emptying bins etc. to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
• Removal of graffiti from reach heights daily as required.
• Wiping of skirting boards and walls daily.
• Collection and disposal of rubbish to designated areas.
• Maintain clean toilets to ensure hygiene standards are met. Mop floors daily.
• Ensure grounds are kept free from rubbish and debris so a clean and tidy site is maintained at all times.
• To replenish hand towels, hand soap and toilet roll as required.
• Report any premises or equipment defects to a senior caretaker.
• Undertake, if working during School Holiday shutdowns, a complete “deep clean” of all areas. Including window cleaning, moving furniture to clean, behind radiators, outside areas etc.
