Job summary

Massey University – Te Kunenga Ki Pūrehuroa in Palmerston North is seeking reliable drivers to join our transport team on a full-time basis. The role covers scheduled runs across Palmerston North, New Plymouth and Auckland, with early starts and weekend shifts required.

You will operate Class 5 vehicles, perform pre-trip/post-trip checks, secure loads, and maintain records with dispatch. A valid Class 5 license and at least 1 year of truck driving experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
• Confident reversing a truck and trailer.
• Minimum 1 year of truck driving experience.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 5 vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and compliance.

• Complete delivery paperwork and logs accurately.
• Maintain communication with dispatch for updates and instructions.
• Safely reverse truck and trailer combinations in varied environments.
• Secure loads to prevent damage during transport.
