Department Of Conservation (Doc) in Palmerston North is seeking skilled Class 5 Truck Drivers for full-time roles with a minimum of 30 hours per week. You will complete scheduled runs across Palmerston North, New Plymouth and Auckland, ensuring deliveries are made safely and on time.

The role requires a valid Class 5 license, at least 1 year driving experience, ability to reverse truck and trailer, and fitness to handle load securing.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 license is required.
• Must be confident reversing a truck and trailer.
• Minimum 1 year of truck driving experience.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends and flexible hours.
• Physical fitness to manage loads and duties.
• Good time management to meet delivery deadlines.
• Strong communication with customers, dispatch and other drivers.
• Pre-employment drug testing and criminal record checks completed.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 5 vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and compliance.
• Adhere to road safety regulations and company policies.
• Accurately complete delivery paperwork and logs.
• Maintain regular communication with dispatch for updates and instructions.
• Safely reverse truck and trailer in varied environments.
• Secure loads to prevent damage during transport.
