Job summary

Mitre 10 Greymouth is seeking an experienced Class 5 driver to deliver building supplies to customer sites and assist with warehouse and yard operations. The role focuses on safe, efficient deliveries and providing superior customer service in a busy trade environment.

The successful candidate will operate delivery vehicles, assist with stock management and support the Trade Department across warehousing tasks in Greymouth.

Qualifications

• Must be an experienced Class 5 driver with a strong commitment to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building supplies to site according to delivery instructions while providing excellent customer service.
• Ensure safe, efficient and professional delivery, handling, storage and movement of goods.
• Support Trade Department with Class 5 vehicle operation, warehouse and yard activities, stock management and customer assistance.

Reporting to the Trade Team Leader, this role will see you take on responsibility for getting customers building supplies/retail orders to site as per their delivery instructions providing excellent customer service.

The primary focus of this role is customer service while ensuring the safe, efficient and professional delivery, handling, storage and movement of goods, this role supports the Trade Department though Class 5 vehicle operation, warehouse and yard activities, stock management, customer assistance and operational support

The successful applicant must be an experienced class 5 driver with a strong commitment to safe work practices,

In addition, we are ideally seeking

• Soud knowledge of safe loading and load restraint requirements
• Understanding of transport compliance obligations and road regulations
• Ability to safely operate delivery vehicles, forklifts and warehouse equipment
• Ability to pick, pack and process customer orders
• Hiab crane experience and/or certification
• Experience with building supplies, warehousing, transport, or construction industries
• Knowledge of timber, hardware and building materials
• Experience using inventory, dispatch or point of sale systems

This position is for 5 days a week for 39.5 hours, days and times are to be confirmed but may involve one weekend day.
