Job summary

Foodstuffs South Island Limited is seeking a Class 5 Driver based in Christchurch, delivering dry goods from the Hornby Distribution Centre Sunday to Wednesday evenings. You will be responsible for on-time deliveries, paperwork, loading/unloading, and adhering to safety protocols.

The role emphasizes a professional, safety-focused approach with reliable attendance, teamwork, and the ability to work independently within a larger supply chain.

Qualifications

• A valid Class 5 licence is required.
• F/OSH endorsement and DG certification are required.
• Reliable, punctual, and ready to get stuck into the work.
• Able to work independently while being part of a wider team.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing.
• Commitment to following Health & Safety guidelines.

Job description

As a Class 5 Driver, you’ll be on the road Sunday to Wednesday, delivering dry goods to stores across Christchurch – on time and in perfect condition. Based out of our Hornby Distribution Centre, you’ll be part of a team that keeps our shelves stocked and our supply chain running smoothly. In this role, you’ll:

• Drive a truck and trailer to complete scheduled delivery runs
• Accurately complete delivery paperwork and logs
• Assist with loading and unloading when required
• Represent our team professionally while out on the road
• Follow Health and Safety procedures to keep yourself and others safe
• Meet daily delivery targets and contribute to feeding the South Island

Work hours are Sunday - Wednesday 12pm - 10.30pm

About you:

You’ll be behind the wheel or on your feet for most of your shift, so being physically fit and safety-conscious is key. If you’re confident driving a truck and trailer and meet the requirements below, we’d love to hear from you:

• A valid Class 5 licence
