Job summary

Franklin Smith Group in Waikato District, North Island seeks an experienced Class 4 Driver / Operator for immediate start on civil construction projects, including rigid dump trucks and watercarts in quarry environments.

This role offers 14th September start, top rates with 8% holiday pay, KiwiSaver, weekly pay, ongoing long-term work and long weekly hours. Applicants must be NZ citizens or residents with reliable work ethic.

Qualifications

• Class 4 licence with solid experience driving Class 4 vehicles.
• Road ranger gearbox experience.
• WTR Endorsement.
• Minimum 2 years Civil/Quarry/Mining experience.
• Experience operating Watercarts and Articulated dump trucks.
• Safe operator with knowledge of Civil construction procedures.
• Reliable, punctual and a team player.
• Available for immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Driving Class 4 vehicles as required.
• Supporting Quarry operations.
• Carrying out daily machine checks and basic maintenance.
• Assisting crews on the ground.
• Following all site health and safety procedures.

Class 4 Driver / Operator - Civil Construction - Immediate Start
We're looking for experienced Driver / Operators for an immediate start on ongoing Civil construction projects, with a particular requirement for operators confident on rigid dump trucks and watercarts in a Quarry environment.
This role would suit an experienced Civil operator who holds a Class 4 licence and is comfortable jumping between driving and operating machinery depending on what's required on site.

Skills & Experience Required

• Class 4 Driver Licence with solid experience driving Class 4 vehicles
• Road ranger gearbox experience
• WTR Endorsement
• Minimum 2 years' Civil/Quarry/Mining experience
• Experience operating Watercarts & Articulated dump trucks.
• Confident operating machinery in active Civil construction environments
• Good understanding of site safety and Civil construction procedures
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a crew
• Positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
• Available for an immediate start
