Job summary

RobLawMax Recruitment – Wellington, North Island is seeking reliable delivery drivers to join our team servicing the Greater Wellington region. You'll be responsible for safe and timely delivery of goods, with regular manual handling and standing for long periods.

Ideal candidates have a Class 2 NZ Driver Licence, a Class 4 Licence is highly desirable, and a proven record of excellent customer service. Immediate start offered for the right people.

Qualifications

• Minimum Class 2 NZ Driver Licence.
• A Class 4 Licence is highly desirable.
• Physically fit with ability to lift and handle loads.

• Strong knowledge of the Greater Wellington region.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods across Greater Wellington region safely and on time.
• Load and unload deliveries and assist with manual handling.
• Maintain professional customer service during every delivery.
• Stay on feet for extended periods; stay physically active.
• Always follow safety and driving regulations.

About the Role

This is a hands-on delivery position operating throughout the Greater Wellington region. You'll be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods while providing a professional service to our customers. The role involves regular manual handling, loading and unloading deliveries, and spending a large portion of the day on your feet, so a good level of physical fitness is essential.

• Minimum Class 2 New Zealand Driver Licence
• A Class 4 Licenceis highly desirable
• Physically fit and capable of regular lifting and manual handling
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong geographical knowledge of the Greater Wellington region
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
• A positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Clean criminal record (no convictions)

Advantageous:

• Current Dangerous Goods (DG) endorsement/certification
• Previous delivery or freight experience
• Forklift endorsement or Forklift Cert
