Job summary

CARTERS Whangarei is seeking a reliable Class 2 Driver to deliver building materials to customer sites in a curtain-side truck, safely and accurately, while building strong relationships along the way. When not on the road, you’ll help with day-to-day yard and branch operations.

You’ll hold a valid NZ Class 2 licence (Class 4 advantageous), may pursue Hiab certification with CARTERS support, and be physically fit with a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Valid FULL New Zealand Driver's Licence.
• Class 2 licence, Class 4 advantageous.
• Forklift F Endorsed Licence with OSH Certificate desirable.
• Experience driving a curtain-side truck, including loading and unloading building materials using side-curtain access.
• A team-focused attitude with a positive, can-do approach and building rapport with customers.
• Physically fit for occasional heavy lifting and manual handling.
• Strong safety awareness and understanding of relevant regulations.
• Building industry knowledge an advantage.

Got your Class 2 licence and a genuine passion for customer service? CARTERS Whangarei is looking for a reliable, hands‑on Class 2 Driver to join our team and help keep our customers' sites moving. This is a varied, on‑the‑road role at the heart of our branch operations. You will operate a curtain side truck, safely and accurately delivering building materials to our valued customers, while building great relationships along the way. When you are not on the road, get stuck in the day‑to‑day yard and branch operations

About you

You will be an experienced Class 2 driver or hold a Class 4 licence and be keen to gain your Hiab certification, which CARTERS will support you to achieve. You will be a great fit for this role if you are committed to delivering exceptional customer service and can demonstrate the following skills, qualities, and certifications:
