CARTERS Manufacturing in Lower Hutt, Wellington is seeking a Class 2 Driver to join the busy team. The role involves delivering Frame & Trusses to construction sites and working in the factory as a manufacturing operator when not on deliveries.

The ideal candidate will hold a Full NZ Driver's licence (Class 2 minimum) with a forklift licence (F endorsement desirable) and a can-do attitude. You’ll contribute to safe, timely service and high-quality customer care.

Qualifications

• Building industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 truck and be trained as back-up Hiab driver.
• Load and unload building materials with forklift or manual handling.
• Carry out customer deliveries safely, on time and in line with health and safety regulations.
• Work in the factory as a manufacturing operator.
• Pick and assemble customer orders.
• Provide exceptional customer service to customers on construction sites.

About the role CARTERSManufacturing in Lower Hutt, Wellington has an opportunity for a Class 2 Driver to join their busy team. This versatile role involves operating a Class 2 to deliver Frame & Trusses to construction sites and working in the factory as a manufacturing operator when not under-taking deliveries. The ideal candidate will have a Class 4/5 to train up to be a relief Hiab Driver. This is a great opportunity to gain your HIAB license and develop your driving capability and experience.

You will need strong communication skills and pride themselves on exceptional service and delivery to our customers in a timely, professional, and safe manner. With your high energy and can-do attitude, youcan expect to:

• Drive a Class 2 truck - be trained as a back-up Hiab Driver
• Load and unload building materials either with a forklift or manual handling
• Carryout customer deliveries efficiently and on time and in accordance with health and safety regulations
• Working in the factory as a manufacturing operator
• Pick and assemble customer orders
• Provide exceptional customer service to all customers on construction sites

About you The ideal candidate will have a commitment to outstanding customer service and support and have the following skills and qualities:

• Full NZ Drivers licence with minimum Class 2 required
• Forklift licence with F endorsement desirable
• Building industry experience preferred
• A team player with the right attitude.
• A real people person with a natural talent for building trust and rapport with our customers
• Basic computer skills
• Proven awareness of health and safety legislation in this industry.
• Physically fit for the occasional heavy lifting and manual handling
