We handle household and commercial moves, car transportation, and freight shipments with efficiency and care. We are currently seeking Class 2 Drivers to join our growing team. This role involves moving furniture (house moving with heavy loading - unloading) and transporting freight safely and efficiently across New Zealand. You will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining vehicle safety, and delivering exceptional customer service. There will be heavy lifting involved. The timings will differ everyday as the role may sometimes involve overnight driving.
Operate Class 2 and Class 1 trucks for the transportation of goods across New Zealand.
Load, unload, pack and secure furniture and freight safely following company and regulatory guidelines
Disassemble/reassemble furniture when required
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs
Adhere to all New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) regulations and Health & Safety protocols
Provide excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage
Collaborate with dispatch and logistics teams to optimize route planning
Valid New Zealand Class 2 Driver's License
Should know how to drive manual trucks
Experience in driving Class 2 vehicles
Proven ability to handle large freight, furniture, and heavy goods transport
Good knowledge of New Zealand road regulations and freight handling procedures
Strong attention to safety and compliance
Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules efficiently
Good communication skills and a professional attitude
Physically fit as heavy loading and unloading will be involved
Ability to work a range of shift hours which can vary week to week with overnight shifts and some out of town work
Must provide two work references
Must pass a pre-employment drug test
Must have a clean police record (No criminal convictions or pending charges)
