Job summary

Bidfood in Waikato is seeking a reliable Class 2 Driver for a fixed-term role with early starts and six days a week operation. You will load, unload, and deliver to rest homes, hospitals, cafés and restaurants, often in and out of the truck.

Typical start times are around pre-dawn, with a guaranteed minimum 40 hours per week and a 3.30am–5.30am window. Great for active individuals who value consistent, customer-facing work.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Full Class 2 license.
• Proven Class 2 driving experience.
• Able to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• High level of physical fitness.
• Reliable, hardworking and self-motivated.
• Ability to pass a drug test and criminal conviction check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products safely and efficiently across Waikato region.
• Handle products with care and keep vehicle clean.
• Follow health and safety, food safety and road transport requirements.
• Lift cartons of up to 25 kg throughout the day.

As we head in to our peak season, we're looking for a reliable and customer-focused Class 2 Driver who enjoys staying active, working independently, and building great relationships with customers. This is much more than a driving job.

You will be in and out of the truck throughout the day, loading, unloading, lifting and delivering products directly to customers including rest homes, hospitals, cafés and restaurants. Every day is different, and you'll play an important role in keeping our customers running smoothly.

What you'll be doing

• Delivering products safely and efficiently across Waikato region

• Keeping your vehicle clean and presentable
• Following all health and safety, food safety and road transport requirements
