Job summary

CARTERS in Lower Hutt, Wellington is seeking a Class 2 Driver with forklift experience. The role involves delivering frame and trusses, plus time in the factory as a manufacturing operator. Training to become a Hiab driver is available. You’ll need a full NZ Class 2 licence and good customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Full NZ drivers licence with minimum Class 2.
• Forklift licence with F endorsement desirable.
• Building industry experience preferred.
• Team player with the right attitude.
• A real people person with ability to build rapport with customers.
• Basic computer skills.
• Proven awareness of health and safety legislation.
• Physically fit for occasional heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 truck and train to be a back-up Hiab Driver.
• Load and unload building materials using a forklift or manual handling.
• Deliver to construction sites safely and on time per health and safety regulations.
• Work in the factory as a manufacturing operator.
• Pick and assemble customer orders.
• Provide exceptional customer service on construction sites.
