Job summary

APL Direct, part of APL Group, based in Hautapu, is recruiting drivers to join our modern transport fleet. The role involves preping, poling, loading and unloading insulated glass units, and delivering across the North Island.

You will operate a curtain side or flat deck truck, maintain safety standards, and work a minimum of 40 hours per week with overtime paid. A strong work ethic and reliable, unsupervised approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Full, clean Class 2 license and F endorsement required.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work unsupervised.
• Excellent attention to detail and safe loading/unloading practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepping, poling, and loading/unloading loose glass and trolleys.
• Transport insulated glass units across the North Island using a modern fleet.
• Maintain impeccable safety standards and care during loading/unloading.

Our transport division, APL Direct, transports aluminium, glass, and associated products throughout New Zealand.

Based in Hautapu, we have opportunities for motivated team players to work with our high performing team transporting insulated glass units across the North Island. We are looking for those who have a passion for trucks and the transport industry as a whole, and are driven to ensure that each product is delivered in impeccable condition.

This role involves prepping, poling, and loading and unloading loose glass and trolleys, so a degree of physical fitness is required.

Our team of Drivers are the face of our company and have the responsibility of operating a modern purpose-built fleet specifically designed to cart our glass products to customers and manufacturers throughout the country.

In this role, you will receive:

We are searching for someone like you, who has:

• A full, clean Class 2license
• An “F” endorsement with proven experience
• Strong work ethic and ability to work unsupervised
• Exemplary attention to detail and care when loading and unloading trucks due to the fragile nature of this product
• The ability and willingness to load/unload our trucks safely and securely
• Impeccable safety standards
• Previous experience with curtain side and flat deck vehicles
