Job summary

Rua Transport ltd in East Tāmaki, Auckland, is seeking a reliable delivery driver to join our team. You’ll be delivering appliances to commercial, retail, and residential customers, with days varying between on-site jobs and home deliveries.

This hands-on role requires a NZ Class 2 or Class 4 licence, good communication, and the physical fitness to lift heavy appliances. You’ll be loading and unloading as you work across a wide area from Mangawhai to Cambridge.

Qualifications

• NZ Class 2 or Class 4 licence.
• Excellent communication and team spirit.
• Physically fit with ability to lift heavy appliances.
• Reliable, punctual, and compliant with safety rules.
• Able to pass a drug/alcohol test and police check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver appliances to commercial, retail, and residential customers.
• Load and unload appliances on-site.
• Occasionally work on commercial sites with on-site deliveries.
• Maintain customer homes and sites with care.

The Role

You’ll be delivering appliances to commercial, retail, and residential customers. Some days you’ll be on-site at a commercial job, other days you’ll be delivering into homes — variety is guaranteed. Deliveries can be from Mangawhai down to Cambridge currently.

This is a hands‑on role. You’ll be manually loading and unloading appliances, so you need to be physically capable and comfortable working on your feet.

What You’ll Need

• Full NZ Class 2 or Class 4 Licence
• Great communication skills
• Team player attitude
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy appliances - assistance and lifting provided where required
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to pass a drug & alcohol test
• Ability to pass a police check
• References available if required

Bonus points: Experience installing washing machines and dishwashers. Also, experience with a clamp hoist/forkhoist could also assist with another task we do.
