Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking a reliable Class 2 Bread Run Driver to deliver fresh bread and bakery products to supermarkets and retail stores across the metro area in Canterbury. The role starts part-time (20-30 hours) with the potential to increase hours and move into a full-time position.

You will begin early mornings, complete scheduled delivery runs, and work independently to ensure on-time deliveries while maintaining high safety and customer service standards. Weekly pay is provided.

Qualifications

• Current Class 2 Driver Licence.
• Previous delivery or driving experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of the metro area.
• Excellent time management and organisation skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Comfortable using a handheld device or tablet.
• A strong commitment to Health & Safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 2 delivery truck.
• Complete scheduled bread and bakery delivery runs.
• Deliver products to supermarkets and retail stores.
• Unload and stack bread in designated store areas.
• Collect empty bread crates and trays for return to the depot.
• Use a handheld device to record deliveries, returns and confirmations.
• Process credits for returned or unsold products.
• Rack and organise bread stock in stores when required.
• Complete basic vehicle safety checks.
• Report any vehicle maintenance or safety issues.
• Follow all Health & Safety, traffic and manual handling requirements.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with store staff and customers.
