Job summary

Rural Direct Ltd in Papakura is seeking an experienced Yard Person / Class 2 Driver to join our busy team. You will handle forklift operation, loading/unloading trucks, organising stock and completing local deliveries across the Auckland region.

You will be responsible for safe handling of products and maintaining an orderly yard, while completing deliveries professionally and documenting goods movement accurately. Hours are Monday to Friday (40 hours per week).

Qualifications

• NZ Class 2 driver licence required.
• Forklift driving experience required.
• Delivery/truck-driving experience preferred.
• Safe and confident driving record required.
• Must have legal right to work in New Zealand.
• Physically fit to lift up to 25 kg.
• Strong health and safety awareness.
• Reliable and punctual; able to work independently.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Accurate completion of delivery and stock documentation.

Responsibilities

• Safely loading and unloading trucks and containers.
• Operating forklifts within yard and factory.
• Completing local deliveries using a Class 2 vehicle.
• Ensuring products are secured during transport.
• Picking, stacking and storing stock accurately.
• Maintaining a clean, organised yard.
• Checking goods against orders before dispatch.
• Completing delivery documentation and obtaining customer signatures.
• Following health and safety procedures.
• Carrying out daily forklift and vehicle checks.
• Assisting with general yard and factory duties when required.

Rural Direct Ltd is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Yard Person / Class 2 Driver to join our busy Papakura team.

This is a varied, hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing and yard environment. The position involves forklift operation, loading and unloading trucks, organising stock and completing local deliveries throughout the Auckland region.

You will be responsible for handling products safely and efficiently, maintaining an organised yard, completing deliveries professionally and accurately recording goods coming in and out.

What We’re Looking For
