Job summary

Canstaff is seeking an experienced Machinery Operator to join our civil construction team in Central Otago. You will operate a range of earthmoving plant, perform earthworks, drainage, and infrastructure tasks, and support site teams to deliver projects safely and efficiently.

We require a Full Class 1 licence, current WTR endorsements, and a minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience with civil machinery. A reliable, physically fit operator with good communication will thrive in our busy,

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience operating civil construction machinery
• Strong understanding of safe machine operation
• Physically fit and capable of hands-on work

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of earthmoving plant and machinery across civil projects
• Carry out earthworks, roading, drainage, and infrastructure works
• Complete daily plant inspections and maintenance checks
• Work safely around underground services and live worksites
• Assist with general labouring duties as required
• Collaborate with supervisors and site crews to achieve project outcomes
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and productivity
