Job summary

Tradestaff New Zealand is seeking reliable Civil Labourers to join our team across civil construction projects in the Waikato region. You will assist with general site duties and support crews to help complete projects on time.

The role involves manual handling, trench digging, material preparation, and using hand and power tools with training provided for any small machinery. A positive attitude and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual attitude.
• Good level of physical fitness.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
• Previous civil or construction experience is an advantage but not essential.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Manual handling and moving of materials around site.
• Digging trenches and assisting with ground works.
• Raking, spreading and levelling materials.
• Assisting tradespeople and machine operators as required.
• Using basic hand tools and power tools safely.
• Operating small machinery where required (training provided).
• Keeping the work area clean, tidy and safe.
• Following instructions from supervisors and working effectively as part of a team.
