Job summary

Brian Perry Civil in Hamilton, New Zealand is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team and contribute to competitive bids for civil infrastructure projects.

Working with an established estimating group, you will perform cost estimates, take-offs, pricing submissions and tender preparation while reviewing drawings and supplier quotations to support successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years estimating experience in civil construction
• Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or related discipline
• Experience contributing to delivery of infrastructure, civil or construction projects
• Strong understanding of estimating methodologies, cost planning and tendering processes
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and tender documentation

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil infrastructure projects
• Complete quantity take-offs and assist with first-principles pricing
• Support the preparation and submission of tenders
• Review drawings, specifications and project documentation
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Work closely with project, commercial and delivery teams during tender preparation
• Assist in identifying risks, opportunities and pricing assumptions
