Job summary

Citycare Property in Christchurch is seeking a commercially minded Estimator to lead pricing, tender development and cost planning for a broad range of government and social infrastructure projects valued from $5k to $1mil. You will work with Project Managers, Portfolio Managers, and customers to ensure tenders are accurate, competitive and positioned for success.

You'll bring a qualification in Estimating/Quantity Surveying or related discipline, plus experience pricing construction, renewals

Qualifications

• Qualification in Estimating, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Experience pricing construction, facilities maintenance, renewals, or capital works projects.
• Knowledge of NZ construction practices, Building Code requirements, and NZS3910/NZS3917 contracts.
• Experience using estimating software Benchmark, CostX, Procore or similar.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and competing priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, coordination, and submission of tender responses.
• Develop accurate estimates, pricing models, and cost plans.
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and tender documentation.
• Analyse commercial risks and opportunities and recommend pricing strategies.
• Build strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
