Job summary

AECOM in Auckland is seeking a Civil Engineer – Roading to lead the design and delivery of local road packages as part of the Northland Corridor project. You will coordinate with drainage, utilities, structures and geotechnical teams to align design, construction and operational needs.

With 3+ years' experience delivering transport infrastructure in New Zealand or Australia, you’ll mentor junior engineers, prepare design documents and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ years' experience delivering state highway transport infrastructure or local roads in New Zealand or Australia.
• Experience in civil design within a consulting, contractor or client organisation.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Support design and delivery of local roads or state highway and associated civil infrastructure for Section One delivery of the Northland Corridor project.
• Coordinate with drainage, utilities, structures and geotechnical disciplines.
• Assist in managing design interfaces and ensure alignment between project workstreams.
• Prepare design documentation, drawings, reports and technical deliverables.
• Support senior engineers in collaborating with clients and contractors.
• Deliver designs compliant with relevant standards and project requirements.
• Work with senior engineers and project leads to manage project risks and technical challenges.
• Contribute to Section One delivery of the Northland Corridor and other transport projects.
• Champion collaboration, quality and continuous improvement throughout project delivery.
