Success in this role will come from your ability to navigate complexity, build strong relationships, and align technical, operational and delivery requirements to achieve outstanding project outcomes.

This opportunity is focused on project coordination, design package leadership and multidisciplinary integration. You'll work with drainage, utilities, structures and other roading teams, helping manage complex delivery interfaces and ensuring successful outcomes throughout the design delivery.

  • Manage interfaces across multiple technical disciplines including drainage, utilities, structures and geotechnical.
  • Coordinate with contractor teams to ensure understanding of operational requirements.
  • Identify risks, constraints and opportunities, developing practical solutions to support the project and AECOM’s wider team.
  • Support the Roading discipline to achieve project milestones and objectives while remaining within budget.
  • Support multidisciplinary teams in delivering practical, efficient and buildable infrastructure solutions.
  • Ensure local authority requirements, standards and consent conditions are incorporated in the design solution.
  • Review project deliverables and technical outputs to ensure alignment with programme objectives.
  • Champion collaboration, quality and delivery excellence across the wider project team.
What you’ll bring

We're looking for an experienced infrastructure professional who combines strong coordination and design delivery capability with the ability to manage complex technical and operational interfaces.

To be considered for this role you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or a related discipline within a tertiary institute.
  • Experience delivering transport infrastructure, local roads, highways or major civil infrastructure projects in New Zealand and Australia.
  • Strong design coordination and package management experience.
  • Proven ability to successfully coordinate and engage with:
    • Contractors
    • Maintenance and operations teams
    • Designers and technical specialists
    • Multiple design disciplines
    • Clients and project stakeholders
  • Experience managing project delivery interfaces within local roads or state highway infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with New Zealand local authority standards, consenting requirements and approvals processes, with Auckland Transport experience highly regarded.
  • Experience using at least one industry-standard design software such as 12d, Civil 3D, OpenRoads or AutoCAD.

The following, though not essential, would be highly advantageous:
  • Experience working within a PPP environment.
  • Experience delivering for Auckland Council or Auckland Transport.
  • Strong understanding and application of Auckland Council Transport Design Manual (TDM).
  • Chartered status or working towards professional registration.
This is your opportunity to leave a lasting legacy.
