Job summary

Fulton Hogan in Central Otago is seeking a Civil Carpenter to join our Alexandra team. This hands-on role builds and maintains infrastructure, working with a crew to deliver high‑quality outcomes on site.

You will have civil carpentry experience, a practical, hands-on approach and a Full Class 1 licence (additional licences are a bonus). We offer a supportive team, ongoing training and clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil carpentry or construction.
• Hands-on approach and ability to work outdoors.
• Full Class 1 licence; other licences beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Carry out civil carpentry work across a range of construction and infrastructure projects.
• Build, install, repair, and maintain formwork, boxing, retaining structures, and other timber or concrete-related elements.
• Read and ork from plans, specifications, and site instructions to deliver quality outcomes.
• Work safely and contribute to a strong health, safety, and wellbeing culture on site.
• Support the wider crew with day-to-day site activities and help keep projects moving.

• Confidence Working outdoors in varying weather conditions and on active construction sites.
• A Team-focused attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to quality.
• A Full Class 1 licence, with additional licences, endorsements, or relevant tickets being an advantage.
