Job summary

NZ Creameries in East Tamaki is seeking a Churn Room Operator for the afternoon shift to safely operate ice cream churns and support quality and food safety standards.

You will work with the wider production team to maintain process control, maximise yield and complete accurate production records while keeping the churn room clean and hygienic. A safety-focused, detail‑oriented team player who learns quickly will thrive.

• Experience in food manufacturing, dairy, FMCG or a similar production environment.
• Ability to follow procedures and complete records accurately.

Responsibilities

• Operate the ice cream churns safely and efficiently in line with the production schedule.

• Raise any equipment, product or process issues promptly so they can be addressed.

This role is responsible for operating the ice cream churn room safely and efficiently, helping ensure our products are made to the required quality, appearance and food safety standards.

You will work as part of the wider production team to support smooth production flow, maintain process control, minimise downtime, maximise yield and complete accurate production records.
