Job summary

Access Community Health in Richmond, South Island, New Zealand seeks caring Kaiāwhina to support tīngata in their homes. No prior experience required; comprehensive training is provided.

You will assist with daily living, respect culture and routines, and help people thrive with compassionate, person-centered care. Flexible hours are available to suit study or family commitments, with weekend shifts and paid travel time.

MōhouAke | About You

• Full/restricted driver’s license
• Hold a Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification or have equivalent, relevant experience
• Spinal injury experience
• Stoma Management experience
• Experienced in the use of a full, standing and two-person hoist
• Experience administering prescribed medication
• Love working with people and helping them thrive
• Be willing to learn, reflect, and adapt your approach to what matters for each person
• Have experience in or exposure to caregiving, disability support, aged care, community work, or other people‑facing roles
• Committed to culturally safe, respectful support for people from all backgrounds
• Intuitive and responsive to people’s needs
• Own a smartphone
• Have the right to work in New Zealand
